Committee Members needed!!
Throughout lockdowns the club has been running with fewer committee members however although it has been another tough year our club events were ( are?) starting to run almost back to normal.
To be able to deliver the full calendar of club events we have planned for this year we need to get the committee back up to full strength.
Thank you to All committee members for all their hard work and support throughout the last two years.
Gillian Thomson, Jenny Dall, Pamela Mailler, Lynn Taylor, Jenni Surgeon, Hazel Donaldson, Linda Sykes and Yvonne Willis Henderson.
2022 Committee
Staying on for 2022 - Gillian, Jenny D, Pamela, Lynn, Jenni S and myself.
Standing down. - Hazel, Yvonne and Linda Sykes
Joining committee at next AGM - Amanda Drummond
** plus ** 6 more committee spaces are available **
The club needs a FULL committee to be able to share the planning and running of the busy schedule of club events and projects; to help provide adequate supervisory cover on the day at events to ensure they run safely for everyone and still be able to join in riding and enjoy being a club member too !
Committee meetings are held throughout the year every 6 - 8 weeks or so depending what is coming up. These have been mostly been online although we had managed a couple of face to face catch ups towards the end of 2021.
If you would like to be part of the committee team we want to hear from you !!
There were a few members who registered interest for committee in the recent members survey but didn't leave contact numbers. If you are still interested we would be delighted to hear from you.
Please get in touch with myself Linda on 07803 927 975 message or text is best or email Lpenman22@btinternet.com
or add your name online to the COMMITTEE 2022 event and we will get back to you.
2 Special awards for 2021 are still to be decided. . . . . .
Taz Memorial Trophy kindly donated by Jenni Surgeon.
Members can nominate online anyone you think would be a worthy winner of this award.
They can be any Almond member you know who maybe hasn't won a wall full of rosettes but has shown great determination and grit to keep going through their own tough times with their horse and deserve recognition for all their effort.
Nominate online HERE now!!
Nominations close on 30th January and the final winner is chosen by the Surgeon family.
DonnaDiva Equestrian Trophy kindly donated by Grace Hughes
New for 2021 this trophy will be awarded to the ' Best Allrounder '
